That being said, I value very much that my girlfriend takes care of herself even with many years in a relationship. She could easily become fat but she exercises and stays fit, and I do the same. For us its important, but its not the main reason we are together.

There are unhealthy beauty standards set to both genders. They’re just geared differently. Women are suppose to be prizes and men are suppose to be warriors. Tate is the result of decades of masculine marketing and the exact thing the movie Fight Club warned about.

Oh man I feel you. I look good and still have hair, I just get shit for looking tired and fat. But society’s general aversion to baldness is very fucked up, and the girl power movement complaining about unfair ideals are all guilty of being just as bigoted against male issues like that one.
It’s as if we should all collectively be nicer and more tolerant towards one another regardless of sex, culture, color of skin or whatever, not just be upset when whatever particular demographic you happen to belong to gets shit.
