I’m American, but last time I tried McDonald’s coffee, I couldn’t even drink it, it was so bad. Starbucks is at least consumable, even if watery and burnt.
The trick I’ve learned in the past couple months is that coffee is actually really sensitive, and so both goes bad quickly AND burns way easier than most people know. Most people are drinking stale, burnt coffee, and think that’s what coffee is, it’s wild.
I VERY seriously doubt McDonald’s is doing pourovers. Do you just mean filter coffee, rather than espresso?

Oh see I am a food snob but only about a few specific things. Coffee I am a “if it is coffee I like it” type person. Gas station is good enough.
That being said, my local coffee shop is amazing I am so lucky
