It’s just marketing. Marketing is frequently stupid but memorable. It’s not enough to ignore it - you need to be as contractions as possible. That’s why I only mix marshmallow and fishsticks. Historically, a lot of americans are just brits which leads me to believe peanut butter is an aquired, cultural taste so a lot of the marketing was probably necessary.
