They really did get hacked. It was pretty bad. But also canvas is horrific. It’s an absolute cluster fuck. It’s confusing. Hard to navigate and doesn’t present information in any way that makes any sense at all. But then again, what the hell was I expecting… Back in my day we used actual books in school.
Can confirm, having furries inside of you is a pleasant experience for all parties involved
the child that you have to carry around after makes the experience far less pleasant I have unfortunately discovered :/
Whats canvas
It’s an LMS for schools/universities.
Other such products are Blackboard and D2L (desire2learn)
Or moodle
I always forget about Moodle, even though I have to play EDR whack-a-mole with departments using it without approval.
It’s like Google Classroom. A lot of colleges use it, and it got hacked during finals season last year
I teach at such a campus.
That was… not a fun week to be a professor.
What did you guys end up having to do?
Mostly damage control for very freaked out students. The due date for the final paper was right when they shut everything down. I still had a few days to grade after it came back up.
But yeah, I was getting emails all day and kept having to assure them I wasn’t going to penalize them.
Sounds fun! I read that some places had to fully reschedule finals. What a nightmare. Luckily i took that semester off lol
Surprised no one posted the Pokemon Twitter hack that happened yesterday.
