Idk man turkeys are pretty fuckin dumb and have very small necks? Maybe an unsuspecting turkey? Cats are pretty good hunters, or wild ones are at least. Fatass indoor cats would def lose lol

Stray cats are actually a recognized threat against the wild turkey population. It was one of the things they actually mentioned last time they did a big catch and spay drive near me.

So here’s my headcanon of why the birds are fucking with the intersections around the towns here

I’m not sure when we got turkeys, whether they’re native or invasive, but we’ve had turkeys here for at least 25 years. Huge fuckers. Everyone took the chrome offa their cars because the turkeys would come peck it at stoplights. They showed up about the same time that fucker a few towns over who got peafowl so people would think he was rich? His peafowl ran away, fucked, and infested the town the dude lived in so now everyone has peafowl. So now everyone knows this one dude isn’t rich enough to keep his peacock in his yard. Anyways around that same time the turkey’s showed up so like, I feel like it was some farmer making fun of the rich dude at first and he bought turkeys to live in his yard instead of peafowl because that just how you do around here and they both lost them at the same time.

          Those fuckers.

Domestic turkeys are dumb. Wild turkeys are clever, attentive and fast when they want to be.
