Same. And from what I have seen, more often than not, they are the same person who will not read an email, and then ask a question that was answered in the email. Then you’ve got to do a “per my previous email” response.
Eh, I’m not answering a cold call either. Leave a voicemail with what you want and I’ll check it when I finish whatever I’m working on. A complete teams message or email with what you want is always going to get the fastest response from me. Respect my time and I’ll respect yours.
I think this varies from person to person. But in my experience for a rule of thumb, calling when urgent is the way to go. Maybe it doesnt work for you. But hospital wont email you when they need something emergency.
Do what you want, as I said, I’m not answering a cold call or responding to it unless there is a voicemail and there is a lot more friction between me and listening to a voicemail than there is for checking a teams message or an email.
Im guilty of this. I hate wasting the time to type it up if the person isnt going to reply. I’ll ping them, when they respond, then open a dialogue.
Personally I never respond if someone just writes “hi”, but i will always answer actual questions/requests

I don’t get it.
If you send the whole message when they are not free, do they not reply later when they are?
I mean if its time sensitive you should call.
