The amount of times ive been in public and my kids have tripped or fallen and mothers who dont know my child have elbowed me out of the way to try to help my kid is infuriating.
I feel for you, and all the dads who play an active role in parenting, especially single dads. Like, how do you even take your own kid to the playground these days without getting the cops called on you?
I know it’s not socially acceptable to acknowledge the ways in which men struggle in society, but that’s something that needs to change.
i dunno. I’m an uncle and a social uncle, i take the kids to the park all the time. all you gotta do it pass the vibe check. which generally means all of the moms there have to not be stressed.
i usually take the kids to a park i built and has my name on it so that helps, but still.
So in other words, be clean-shaven, don’t have long hair, dress like a normie, don’t have a stutter, be known by everyone in your community, have enough money to donate a playground to a public park, and hope all the moms are having an okay day? Got it.

When i say i built the park, i mean i built it with my own hands. I didn’t donate to it. got my name on the sign. Sort of lets you come and go from the park as you please.
There’s courtesy parking for expectant mothers and families with infants (we usually call it stroller parking) and it’s not enforced but always respected. I’ve seen more people (who aren’t allowed) park in handicapped spots than stroller parking. Lots of assholes don’t care about disabled persons but respect for mothers seems to be universal, at least where I live.
We’ve got a little one right now and it’s so nice to be able to park in stroller parking. I also appreciate that lots of people make sure I have a baby when I park. I’ve seen lots of people stop and watch me park and get out, then see I’m getting a stroller out of my car, and then they carry on.
One time I got called racist for asking someone to move their car after I noticed they we parked in a handicap space without a tag. Incidentally, they just happened to be black.
I didn’t attribute any causality to their race; anyone can be selfish and inconsiderate enough to park in a handicap space, and I would have asked them to move no matter what race they were.
But apparently if they’re black then that means they should be able to get away with anything they want and anyone who calls them out for it is racist. Cause it’s not like anyone could possibly have any reason other than racism to ask someone to move out of a handicap space, right? It’s not like disabled people are systemically disadvantaged and marginalized, right? Oh…
I’ve also been called racist for telling a guy to leave a woman alone when he was clearly harassing her and ignoring her repeatedly telling him to stop it and go away…
Joking aside, is this for pregnant women who have babies? Enforcement would be difficult. I’m not sure there’s a sticker for that.

It is. It’s not a legal thing like handicap stickers. Whether or not it is respected is up to the individual parking

Yeah, they are more respected than the handicap spots where I live too. I appreciated the spots when my kids were still in arms/strollers for sure.
