My bet is Exxon…

My bet is Exxon…
The joke was taking it literally instead of acknowledging the changing reason for the youth spending too much time doing something (music/books/movie/tv/games/phones).
Ah yes, the ancient Egyptian complaint about ‘this generation’ spending too much time on their phones.
Timeless!
Edit: I love that that this one keeps getting down voted and my explanation comment keeps getting upvoted. Never change fediverse.

50 miles is too far for paste

There are tons of things that involve recording what you are doing that doesn’t involve anyone else.
Recording myself taking electronics apart, doing woodworking, or a lot of hobby stuff from first person perspective in a convenient format like safety goggles instead of a camera strapped to the top of the head would be awesome!
Very convenient for recording what I am looking at while driving, not just front and back dash views. People working in dangerous situations having easy recording equipment, like during disaster recovery or administering medical care that would be better than clip on chest cams.
Private individuals going about their day in public? Not enough positives to outweigh the negatives for sure.

Yeah, I have colleagues who choose to work in the office when work from home is available because they like the separation of work from home, don’t have a good spot to work from home, are aware they would be distracted at home, prefer to see other people in person, and a bunch of other reasons. At least they get a choice!
The third best part of work from home is using my preferred toilet paper.
First is not needing to commute.
Second is not needing to dress up.
Yeah, a society that doesn’t take into account biology can’t possibly last.
It is also important to take it into account in a positive way. In the ‘past’ women were disqualified for certain jobs because they might get pregnant and that would require giving them leave and that would cost the capitalist machine profits!
What do you mean packaging doesn’t say “This slide up”?
Nice and subtle.
That is absolutely brilliant.
It’s a Cameron Diaz!
Wait, I don’t get it either.

All I see is *******

Netflix already has (had?) a feature that randomly plays something.
Have you not heard of The Onion?
That’s a good pun name.
OK Bokmer
Helldivers
Dunno second one
Mass Effect
When the proportion of processing to benefit is that far out of whack it is useless.
