This is why I don’t use them.
The paint in my living room looks diarrhea brown and corpse gray under warm light. It’s purple and blue, and there are a lot of windows so I can’t plan for warm light as a default like I can in bedrooms. Daylight bulbs keep the color what it should be.
Another 20-60 minutes pass
My energy level has cratered into an uncomfortable jitter of cosmic impotence and my stomach hurts like it has never contained matter, but the thought of filling it with something other than more coffee makes me violently ill.
Using something that still works as long as it doesn’t produce emissions…. Is actually the single best way to curb impact, yeah.
Like literally the best use is long-term. If it still works and you can eek some power out of it rather than toss it, there’s no harm doing so.
Assuming you can recycle it now, you can also recycle it down the line when it genuinely isn’t worth keeping anymore. Until then, if you’ve got space, might as well. Because recycling isn’t free, in energy, emissions, or labor.

You’ve missed out on “great” stuff like the time every semi-pro player on the ice threw gloves down and started brawling before the first puck drop of the game, due to an old rivalry that likely had nothing to do with any of the players on the teams.
The penalty boxes didn’t even have standing room. Glorious because of how silly it was.
I’d be fine with fighting dying off, as I’m sure it makes some kids not want to play who otherwise would, but at least a lot of the pro stuff does stop the fights these days, so we are getting there…
