I’m just less fussy about what I eat than most. And I long ago learned there are many tasty things of all kinds to eat. Worrying about carnivore vs vegan is a waste of my time. One can eat a different meal everyday for a lifetime and never eat the same thing twice. Whether there is meat on the menu is not as much of a deal as eating tasty food.

They might think that, but they are still eating meals without meat and not even thinking about it. Maybe it’s not enough vegan enough to make you happy, but it IS something more than nothing.
Not all of them do.
Unless someone is a on a serious carnivore diet, then we probably eat “vegan” more than we realize.
I had an English muffin with some homemade wild raspberry jam and a banana with my tea this morning. I have already planned an Indian lentil curry and rice for supper tonight. I don’t know what I’m having for dinner today, but I could have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich I suppose.
A whole day without meat. Not that I actually considered doing that because “vegan.” But because that’s what sounds good to eat today. Tomorrow, maybe some smoked oyster stuffed venison loin chops for supper perhaps or some eggs and bacon for breakfast.
With asbestos, one has to wonder if there was just no good substitute for some of it’s properties. While it’s very rare to see used these days, there are still some careful applications for it. Lead is the same way. Lead solder and even lead pipes was commonly used up until a relatively short time ago for water supplies.

Lehman’s is still in business and has an online store. They sell a brand new hand operated washing machine.
Then they didn’t much care I guess. Which was worse than not knowing.
You would be surprised at the things that can be repaired if you are smart, have some skills, and determination to do so.
Sadly, very few people are willing to learn new things or skills.
If you want a washer that will last for decades, look for an old wringer-washer. Super simple and basic. Easily repairable. They are known for lasting 30+ years.
Just be wary of the rollers in the wringer as you feed those wet heavy clothes. Many, many a housewife got their fingers broken or mangled washing underwear. And for heaven’s sake, don’t get your tit in the wringer…
Driers are simple machines. I suspect a dead heating element. It’s probably visually broken.
No, you don’t want a car like those old ones. Changing/filing points and distributor cap every 6 months, spark plugs and wires every year. All for a car that was scrap at 100,000 miles no matter what you did.
As a forager, I live in the middle of a forest, I do hunt mushrooms for myself, I even have shaggy manes that grow wild in my yard. There are tasty and safe ones out there to find in season. It’s something even people who live in a city can do. Parks hold some very interesting free foods if you know what you’re looking at.
BUT, you better learn from a local expert who has been hunting locally for years. They know hat grows locally and how to identify them. Using your phone or a book is helpful, but never definitive. Pictures can lie. And even then, there can be a tiny risk.
I’m 7 years older than my wife. I was 27 and she was 20 when we met, both freshly divorced too. Most definitely a rebound thing, even 40 years later. I keep waiting for her to catch up to me in age, but she’s taking her sweet time about it.

They probably eat more than they need to. But high meat prices should put some brakes on that.
