Yeah I’m a real person, the name is just a reference to getting banned on Reddit many times, and then getting banned immediately across several discuss.online communities for hurting a mod’s feelings. I guess if it’s going to happen, might as well ask for it.

  • Probably 3/4 of the people I know on GP1s are either reporting mental health/addiction benefits, or are taking it exclusively for that reason. Helped me quit weed, helping a friend of mine quit vaping right now. Shuts off my gut-wrenching anxiety. I hate jumping on bandwagons but it’s a bit of a miracle drug, hopefully it doesn’t cause your DNA to turn inside out after 10 years or something.

  • GP1s. You eat a bit of shit. But not too much. Then you’re like, huh I want some real food. And then you’re done for the day. Two days later, you’re like, poop please leave my body so I can eat a little bit more shit. Maybe you throw up a box of pop-tarts.

Then you notice the muscle loss and you’re like, no more shit, only real food, and more workout. Real food is easier to eat because your sugar cravings decrease.

I grew up watching people shame spiral while ordering Ab-Rollers. It was not pretty. This isn’t ideal but we have to acknowledge we’re all addicts.

  • Before getting off notoriously racist Nextdoor, I did see a few folks complaining about this, they couldn’t harvest their own fruit crops because homeless folks would just come grab it all, usually before it was ripe enough to eat. This kicked off a big battle over who deserved the fruit more. Arguments that would have been better directed at the political leaders here who refuse to provide enough resources for the homeless. When we have to debate whether people can keep the fruit of their own trees, but we aren’t building shelters or allocating food at the macro level, then we have fallen deep in to the libertarian trap.

  • Science doesn’t let you just assume things that seem pretty obvious, you actually have to test the basic hypothesis so you have something to base future work on. Otherwise all the work to follow is suspect and can get thrown out because an assumption turns out to be false, which is a fairly common occurrence actually. That’s why scientists, who aren’t known to be stupid people, actually do the research.
