    I know it’s slower, less practical, or simply not possible, but I wish more emulators would let me use the original UI of the system that’s being emulated instead of booting straight into the game. PCSX2 is one that comes to mind, I can choose to boot into the bios and hear all those nostalgic PlayStation 2 sounds again!

    I don’t think switch emulators have this feature :(

      If I remember correctly it’s because console corps can more easily do takedowns if you’re distributing BIOS files, and that means needing to get them elsewhere which can be a hurdle for using them. I do wish there was an option to play a video before launching a game so I could just drop in a recording of the boot animation for nostalgia though…

      Emulating the real one will be a hard work, but replicating the UI must be possible.
