Yeah, not exactly BIFL but I am looking for a 50+ inch plasma tv for semi-retro gaming. I have some consoles that I want to hook up and I don’t want to deal with smart bullshit. Does anyone have a recommendation? I remember Pioneer being really nice back in the early 00s but I never knew anyone who had one long term.
I don’t think they make Plasma anymore? Either way if you’re trying to avoid “Smart” TVs I’d suggest looking into computer monitors instead of TVs, even the cheapest TVs sold today have “Smart” shit so you didn’t have a moment of peace in your life.
Yeah, I am looking for a used one but I don’t know what has held up or not.
Why plasma?
I am looking for a decent picture from the mid 00s. The color range and contrast on plasmas was excellent.
