The couch is as deep as it is tall, it’s also about the same height as the coffee table.
Not really that uncommon if you are trying to create more open space in a room. It’s also not very uncommon in Asian households.
No real reason to debate, she is an actress. Her audition sheet says shes 5’6", she’s wearing 3-3.5" heels, which would make hubby around 5’"5.
