Don’t look down on trade schools. The trades are a great way to make good money and not likely to be replaced by AI… If I was that age today, I would be very strongly looking at that type of work. Or something in the medical field.
I think there has been a clear pivot towards trade schools in recent years. I recently toured my old high school as part of my 20 year reunion. It is far more focused on the trades now. Back when I was going they got rid of all the shop classes. Now they’re back and they have a big focus.
