Getting notification clutter cleaned up on my phone was such an improvement. Very few apps are allowed to show notifications, so when I get one, it’s usually relevant. It doesn’t take long to do either, but I went a long time swiping away the same notifications every day because it was always faster in the moment.
And yea, I get just swiping away too. I have one app that I just can’t get configured to notify exactly as I want, so I’ve settled for having a few more notifications rather than miss something. (It’s a camera motion sense thing, I want to know when a delivery occurs, but getting the right sensitivity/coverage area combo is tricky).
I find the “younger crowd” seems no bothered with a million notifications.
