I was pretty annoyed when I moved to the South and discovered that very little is open past 11 PM. I suppose it depends on the right combination of population density and low minimum wage for it to be viable.

In the US, it varies quite a bit regionally. I was pretty annoyed when I moved to the South and discovered that very little is open past 11 PM.
