The city I changed them in would have had me crucified if I killed someone with my work, the homeowner gets a pass.

I have changed several. Have yet to kill anybody.
I bought Empire Total War when it came out and for the first time instead of having a copy of the game the disc was nothing it just routed me to some online platform called steam that made me download it on my computer to spy on me and make me ask for permission every time I used it. I know people on here like steam, I forget why, but that was some bullshit, every other game I had I owned, this one I did not in truth own but was more like leasing it. Game was glitchy as fuck anyway would have been really cool if it was done better. Sega game. For a computer.
I know somebody whose house blew up from a gas leak, killed one of the tenants. The one that the landlord paid $7 an hour to help change the hot water heater and did it wrong. The ATF investigated and declared an oopsie. Dead guys dumbass wife despite knowing there’s a gas leak and being told not to light a cigarette lit a cigarette.
Some people with well water have water that just tastes awful and they think it tastes fine.

3·2 days agoAs I was saying on another thread, this current fuckery dates back to the Business Roundtable of 1971, big business huddled up and made a game plan to seize control. They got their asses kicked out of power from FDR and kept losing. Project 2025 is just the newer iteration of that game plan. Part of that plan clearly is to keep us disunited and destroy any competing organizations, and or take control of them secretly like with our opposition political party, not much of a secret to many of us I know.
The only answer is to organize, and to do that we need new social media, that we control. Like the fediverse, but set up better. But we needed it 20 years ago. Next best time is now.

5·2 days agoWhile there may be some truth in that, I don’t think it’s accurate to say it’s always been there as such, in fact I believe it didn’t really start in it’s current form until 1971 or so, by design, although it existed before as it does elsewhere, that was the turning point, where big business huddled up and made a long game to seize power, project 2025 is just the recent iteration of that game plan, formed initially by the Business Roundtable.

16·3 days agoThe culture was fucked long before no child left behind to be fair. Anti intellectualism was rampant, since before most of us were born, gangster culture and drug prohibition and The Fear made a solid percent of the population criminals and authorized a police state.
City schools are better now than they were in the 80s and 90s, things got real bad in the crime waves.
Do unto Otters as you would have Otters do to you is like biblical man, didn’t Jesus have a thing with giving fish? I don’t know why he had to ruin the bread to do it but whatever.
I actually think about otters fairly regularly. Love the videos of the Giant Amazon Otters. They are apex predators, killing Caiman, scrapping with and chasing off jaguars.
