I’m a squirrel. The german word for squirrel is Eichhörnchen, which is hard to pronounce for english speakers. The english word for Eichhörnchen is squirrel, which is hard to pronounce for german speakers. And I think that’s beautiful :)

8·3 days agoGo to https://ecosia.org/ in a private browser window. It says “AI that answers to the planet”. Search something and the AI Overview on top is enabled by default.
I use them with AI disabled, but it should be the default setting.
Edit: I just did a couple test searches and didn’t get the AI overview. Don’t know what triggers it.

0·6 days agoThis is the first time I translated “bless you”. I never knew it was something religious. In german we simply say “health” (Gesundheit) when someone sneezes.
4·7 days agoYou could run a PeerTube instance to mirror other people’s videos. The more mirrors, the more decentralized it gets. But it takes some manual curation of videos or instances you want to mirror.
