Hey its 2026! just ask AI who should win based on popular vibe, and be done with.
We call it vibe voting

Just like main replaced master in a heartbeat.

As if one could break out of the bubble with tech bro “media”

There are still other means of communications than the way of tech Bros.
I agree. Since covid I lost my long held belief that humans are basically good.

They have a flag Zero Data Retention that cones with the promise that after a call no data is kept on any servers. I’m using that.
It’s contract level trust; I wouldn’t bet my life on it, but overall it’s a compromise I’m willing to make.

I run the AI service (OpenwebUi) myself, but buy the compute on OpenRouter. Self hosting models is not an economic viability for me.

There’s no news here. After the initial tryout phase every business I’ve seen introduced cost tracking. Seems like Accenture is doing the same now.
It still works fine for most liquids used for cooking and baking.
Oh wow. The primary ingredients are sugar, sugar, sugar, sugar and fat.
Who wouldn’t like that.

Meta being Meta. No surprise there.
News are posted elsewhere.

Buying a limited license is not owning… I mean, yes you own the license, but can’t even sell it. Congratulations.

Not really. They sometimes bring the nuclear idea to the table as an alleged alternative to solar and wind. But the reality is that in today’s democracies nuclear is near impossible to build for a variety of reasons. It’s never a real alternative, only one to slow down wind and solar.

No we weren’t. We were fucking scared when theoretical statistics about nuclear accidents actually manifested in the real world, and didn’t want to have one of those in our neighborhood. so we took the opportunity to shut it down when it presented itself.
Those people who were funded by petroleum simultaneously made sure to delay wind and solar as long as they possibly could, and that is while we’re still stuck at coal and gas. Those same people have the majority of the vote nowadays once again, and you can watch them do it again: even though wind and solar is the most economic choice by now, they are doing what they can to slow it down.
Our university library is open 24/7, and there’s pretty much always someone using it, as far as I’m aware.

Why stock up? Buy shorts!
Thanks for sharing some experiences from on the ground. It’s certainly anecdotal but even then already a lot more nuanced than the general 2-bullet-point rage that drives public perception.
