LinkedIn is fine. I work in community-based healthcare and interact with a shit ton of people from other organizations, and having LinkedIn to look people up is incredibly useful. You don’t need to post on LinkedIn, or read the feed at all. For me, it’s purely a way to connect with other people I know. If someone does an internet search for your name, it’s also likely going to be the first hit, and can help prospective employers know who you are

Fuck, now the Parry Gripp song is stuck in my head. My son moved on from this a couple years ago, but the horrors persist

I think you’re taking this too seriously
Dude, the sound is clearly audible, and the people behind him clearly react to it, and they clearly end the event prematurely right after it happens.
Attention on this doesn’t diminish any of the horrible atrocities committed by the Trump Admin, but it cuts at the very foundation of the “strongman” persona Trump tries so desperately to portray
Carnism would still technically cover “vegan plus (animal-based) bacon”
And this all-or-nothing approach is precisely what I’m referring to. I consider myself pretty well-read, and the only time I’ve ever seen the word “carnist” used in the wild is when someone who’s vegan is hurling it as an insult
“I’m reducing my meat consumption by doing (x).”
“Fuck off, carnist!”
It really isn’t being used that way when the intention is flagrantly insultive.
That you are judging them is the correct answer
Why do you think they feel compelled to lie to you?
I know quite a few vegans in my life who are amazing, nonjudgmental people. On Lemmy, I’ve been called a “murderer” and a “carnist” for mentioning I’m reducing my meat consumption.

There isn’t really a plot, it’s more of an art piece with scenes from the real world set to an amazing soundtrack by Phillip Glass. I like the scenes from New York City in the late 70s, and the traffic scenes during “The Grid” are hypnotic.

This probably didn’t actually happen, but I did have a physics class in college where we had an exam where the highest score was 35%, so it was graded on an absurd curve

Every time I glance at her picture, I think she’s wearing a hospital gown and hospital band. Freda Jackson just looks like she should be in the hospital
Edit: I looked this story up, and her beef was definitely with the British travel agency that fucked up multiple aspects of her trip, not the people of Spain. This is just Daily Mail nonsense
