Sure if that is a option. I am a fan of Linux too but unfortunately not everyone is ready for it. Specially corporate systems are not due to AD. In those cases where you need windows. Store the key locally.
And that is why you dont save the key in your Microsoft account but local only instead.
All the VM suggestions are good. But have you ever looked In to winboat as well?
Can’t do that if it gets enrolled in active directori or intune. Most likely a VM doesnt meet the requirements.
