  • I have no problem with being able to verbally ask a computer to do basic useful things, it’s a far more advanced PC-human inferface than the computer mouse…

But beyond that, meh. I get how it can be used by science to solve complex issues or analyze large datasets, and that’s cool, but I don’t need anything on my PC more calable than an aide that can set a timer for me, or thereabouts.

If it can’t already do something with way fewer errors than people, than it shouldn’t be doing that yet.

If it can, then we might as well put it to work.

We didn’t build stone tools because our hands were good enough, or bronze tools because stone was good enough,…

  • It’s funny watching this argument.

I’m from a very hippy community.

    I’m a collectivist.

I’m extremely far left & progressive.

    I’m wholly anti-fascist.

I’m also 100% in agreement with you regarding including differing opinions regardless of how extreme.

Inclusivity only brodens the divide and limits opportunities for people who harbor extremist views to be influenced toward developing more balanced, functional, and beneficial perspectives.

Moderation can be used to soften their influences in our commuty while including them allows our community to influence them.

Interesting stories… But if she held a bunch of soldiers captive in her home with one firearm she likely wouldn’t have been able to shoot one and still hold the others captive, as she would’ve had to reload for the gun to remain a threat.

It’s more likely that she held them at gunpoint and then others helped detain them so they could be hung.

If even just one or two soldiers knew they were going to be killed they would’ve likely risked death to rush her or their other captors, giving themselves at least some chance at survival.

Back then soldiers and people in general usually carried knives too, not just guns.
