I think the amount of funding is kind of irrelevant. Our government has lost (or perhaps given away) the ability to actually build anything without an infinite array of subcontractors all trying to fleece the taxpayer for as much money as possible. If the budget was higher, the expenses would simply grow proportionally to absorb it.

It’s worth pointing out that Home editions of Windows don’t allow you to enable the RDP server without doing some janky stuff.

One issue with this is that uutils is licensed under the MIT license, instead of coreutils’ GPL license. In fact, for reasons I don’t quite understand many of these rust rewrites are licensed with the MIT license. This will contribute to long term erosion of the rights granted by the GPL to software projects and users.
