It would, but as usual things have to get much worse before they get better.
Just got out of a discussion with a supplier. We can do what we needed by connecting to the database. Instead we have to go through four layers of different tech to arrive at the same point in the database otherwise it’s not compliant. That the supplier needs to sell a license for those layers is purely coincidental.
I usually insist “we solve the problem together” what means I solve it and he gets to watch in the call “as a teaching moment”. It just means he can’t just dump the problem on me and walk away so thinks twice before asking next time.
Just saying “Hi” back five minutes later already throws them off and they’ll come back to you the next day.

17·4 days agoThere are enough stories about somebody installing a pi-hole and a family member getting angry because now the ads for all the pretty things are gone.
That’s some “campfire cooking in another world” type of stunt. Sylvia would dump it at the back door and demand you butcher and grill it.
