The technology has a few use cases where it is appropriate and useful. It’s the braindead MBA narcissism that wants to shove it everywhere and replace everyone that is the real problem. That’s the existential threat, not AI per se.

You can have a Linux running on a raspberry pi, but you have to build the device yourself. That’s my solution.

If I have the spoons and money, I like to just host an outing for my friends. Plan it, pay for everything and drive. It’s sweet to provide an experience that might not have happened without the effort.
