FUTO has demonstrated other sketchy behavior. The relevant comments were collapsed when I opened the page FWIW.
Also, platforming Yarvin alone is enough for me to avoid FUTO. Everyone is free to draw their line in the sand where they will.
I edited my previous comment from “FUTO is Curtis Yarvin” to “FUTO is associated with Curtis Yarvin” to be more precise.

My split is currently 10% traditional “retirement target date” 20% small cap US and 70% International Index. All Vanguard. There are also emerging market and more granular international funds. Talk to your servicer.

I think some of the dissent in the comments fail to consider some of the nuances in this interaction. If this specific kind gesture isn’t appealing I have two alternatives to suggest.
I keep a bunch of bottles of water in my backseat and two in my glovebox to hand out to people asking for help at traffic lights and such.
Goodwill and other thrift stores generally have books for pretty cheap. Easy to fill a shopping bag for $20. I mostly aim for beginner level novels and young adult fiction and put them in the free neighborhood libraries. Satan knows we need more children reading.

I’m staunchly anti-genAI but consider other applications of traditional machine-learning less problematic. A purely local model for photo categorization seems, in theory, less objectionable to me. I’m sure models exist already but I’m purposefully out of the loop. Any suggestions for models I could look into? And just how much compute would something like that require?
I very nearly shared Artificial Brain! Dissonant/atmospheric DM hits different for sure.
They definitely aren’t in the same corner of DM as Ulcerate or Artificial Brain but if you dig avant-garde/proggy death I highly recommend Pleroma by Orgone.

Ive worked with Ansys Fluent in university but really fucking love CFD and could probably use the practice regardless.
Ah…right…old laptop and AI-driven component shortages… Someday I’ll have a shitload of compute, just you all wait!

I’m not so sure it is. If the leading surface was completely bluff, the length of roof were shorter than the protruding boat and it was moving very fast then yeah, maybe.
In reality, the nose of the RV plus the length of roof surface along with non-Mach speeds will virtually guarantee the bulk of the airflow will remain coupled to that roof until a radical change in geometry such as the boat.

You’re going to make me learn OpenFOAM aren’t you

Okay but there’s no way the flow separates from that roof enough to clear the boat
I understand and appreciate the sentiment but the people I’m handing them to are far more likely to be harmed by the 90° heat first. I am talking about unhoused and other people failed by society. They dont really have the luxury to worry about microplastics.
