I went to read the reblogs, and most of the German replies seem to be talking about phrases more like “don’t you have any hobbies?”. The exception to this is one person who I think is writing in Bavarian - it’s definitely not what I as an outsider think of as “standard” German, anyway - and they are going with “Hobbiloses Vahoidn”. Maybe if it’s not just OP translating it loosely, it’s specifically a Bavarian expression?

Considering its influence on visible public conversation, particularly how often news outlets report on A Thing Someone Tweeted, I would suggest it’s at least partly to blame. Certainly not the only culprit, but I don’t think Elon Musk bought it to not shape public discourse
And the brand-new account “WhiteIsraelis” isn’t trolling!
Edit: there it is lmao
If you make an exception for that, why not for any other important cause? And then you just have a news community with weird rules about the format of posts
I get that it’s an ad with a good message, but this is absolutely still just straight up posting an ad
These are probably him giving bribes to others, right? He gets to essentially anonymously give someone money without having to actually spend any of his own money
I am objectively correct to propose this update

4·3 months agoThis is correct, although it should be noted that the power generation side of this is just a kind of cool incidental thing. The main purpose of the coating is to protect the solar cells

6·3 months agoI can see it now that you mention it! The forward leg is a moustache, the head is an eye, and the lower arm is a cheekbone. Very Ottoman-looking
I think the idea is that legality is supposed to approximate morality here, right? Like legal wars are supposed to be reasonably justified ones. Whether or not that actually works can be debated, but it is a relevant distinction
Well we wouldn’t want the distortion of a Mercator projection to mislead us now would we
Those probably won’t be counted if the number is ChatGPT users rather than LLM or genAI users. They’re a whole separate bunch of obnoxiousness instead!
Okay, sure. I don’t think either I or the parent comment said it wasn’t DRM, I just read the parent comment as explaining the sentence that was described as ambiguous. The question remains: how is that DRM Steam’s fault?
That’s the connection to the post, but it’s not a connection to the parent comment and also not Valve’s decision
Surely that comment is just getting downvoted for being irrelevant rather than for criticising Steam? It’s barely connected to the post, totally unconnected to the comment it’s replying to, and blaming Valve for decisions made by the Total War devs
It’s a promotional thing Lidl apparently do in Poland, it’s over 99% off the normal price

You probably know this stuff better than me since you’re coeliac, but just in case you don’t: try the Loopy Whisk’s bread recipes. I have a couple of coeliac family members and these are by far the best results I’ve gotten for making gluten free bread for them
