Yes but with brakes, less resistance, and a much smoother ride! Ive always wanted to build one but i already have a thousand projects…

So I had a quick look for one, and I wouldn’t even say elaborate scooter, it’s just a scooter. Yea it has bigger wheels which use actual tyres and tubes, but that’s the only real difference.

The one I checked out was around 10kg, so not super light or anything(heavier than my bikes, but granted they cost significantly more). You aren’t going to be more efficient than a bike, it is going to suck when you get to any climb.

These definitely aren’t for me, or anyone in my area(too many hills), a bike is the significantly better option.

@OrgunDonor @Tai You are quite right in terms of comparison bicycle! 🙂
You have to use different muscles, any climb is hard, especially for beginners, you are slower than bicycle, you have to put more power to move.
More experienced riders ride routes around 50-100 km per day. My maximum is 185 km in one day. And road racers reach a maximum average speed of around 30km/h.

Footbike is simply something else than bike. It is different, that’s all…🤣 🛴

(This steel bike in front is 7,3 kilo, carbons are about 4 kilos)
