I did that exact “hold a baby lab” thing, it’s actually pretty depressing. The lambs are treated pretty poorly by the farmer, and there are a few babies kept hungry so if you buy a bottle (€8) they go right for you and drink it.
Overall pretty negative experience unfortunately. I was pretty excited too when I saw the social media posts like this, which is why we did it in the first place

Ah capitalism. Ruining everything and providing nothing in return. As if baby animals need extra motivation to want to eat or be social…
Bah, I can go to the local zoo and hang out with a whole mess of baby goats. Seems like a better deal.
