Second, the Earth looks flat from a distance if you are not watching something like a sailboat sail off into the ocean. Matey mate, give it up.

The earth is not flat.
Two bits of truth here, first flat earth was believed in a historical context until 5-6 century and still after that. Second, the Earth looks flat from a distance if you are not watching something like a sailboat sail off into the ocean.
