It sounds like your husband shopped for a dog, presumably a specific breed you specifically wanted, instead of adopting.

And completely regardless of the circumstances at the business you chose to purchase your specific animal from, you’re calling it ‘rescuing’ to make yourself feel better.

Well they are the ones who said they went to purchase a dog from a breeder, so I didn’t really make any assumptions. But I did suggest that the context of their circumstances that I’m not aware of are pretty much irrelevant.

And no, animals being euthanized without adoption or getting bred in awful conditions by terrible people with more interest in money than animal welfare doesn’t make me feel good at all.

They used the words “rescued” which typically doesnt mean “purchased”, so you are making assumptions and being intentionally hostile to a commenter.

All they said is that the dog came from a puppy mill, not the rest of the circumstances that led to their husband getting the dog. You assumed “came from puppy mill” meant “purchased from puppy mill” when it could have been seized from a puppy mill and that’s how it ended up in s shelter, or another person could have been the original owner and the shelter had the dog’s history and was able to say where it was bred.

You’re assuming they used “rescued” in bad faith just to accuse them of using it in bad faith when it more likely implies one of the other options.
