It also assumes the person you are talking to is also christian. Third, it reinforces patriarchy by assuming the person you are talking to is male.
I have no idea how it caught on and become popular, but I’m hoping that with a little self-reflection, we can all move away from it.

At the start, when Kraft and the other owners kicked Macklemore off the tour. Sheeran may have been deciding what to do, back Macklemore or continue with the concert for anyone that had booked high school off the next day etc.
But at this stage it seems that Sheeran has done everything wrong. He didn’t back Macklemore early on, but now every other act on the tour, including his band, did. More importantly, he was given a massive chance to condone genocide and stayed silent.
Imagine the amount of respect Sheeran could have garnered by announcing that the tour was cancelled.
Sheeran didn’t dump him. Kraft did. Sheeran stood idly by and didn’t back him. it’s an awkward position to be in, but at the moment
