Damn I needed this wholesomeness this morning

My wife’s grandpa was like this… he looked scary AF but was sweeter than honey

In one visit, Grandma would come in and scold him about hidden candy in his den, check some drawers and his jacket pocket while he claimed, exaggeratedly, he did not hold any candy and pretended to be offended by the accusation

The second Grandma walked out he would have the smile of a 5 year old that just snuck a pet frog by mom’s watchful eyes and tell my wife (girlfriend at the time), “get my fishing trophy from the shelf” and proceed to take off the bottom and produce a bag full of candy
