Bro, remember when going to the movies was fun and shit? Like it was what you were doing for most of your spare time that day. Had a movie theater near me with a full ass bar, and a small arcade. It was like a haphazard Dave and Buster’s but with cash and not shitty water downed drinks. Play for a little before the movie, watch the movie, maybe play some more. I remember it was towards the end of college when one of the “the hills have eyes” movies came out, and I went for a matinee discount showing. They had no games, a soda and popcorn was close to $10, and a cup of water was a fucking dollar cause I guess they gotta nickel and dime everything they can. It was such a shitty experience that I have only ever gone to see a movie since is on dates cause it’s what she suggested.
We really lost some magic. Just happy I got to see the Lord of the Rings as a kid I guess. That was fucking peak movie experience.
