If someone were to rob my house I might even let them take what they want and leave, in order to save myself and the dog. But the Russians didn’t just come to rob the house, they came to rape my wife, kidnap my kids, kill my dog and stay indefinitely in the living room.
By fighting back, the Ukrainians gained that they do still exist.
