You come from an island that was stolen from you - “Europeans” - the English - spent 800 years learning from the Irish how to oppress, murder, exploit, and enslave others for their profit.
So your move, right now, should be to say to the original native owners of your land: “How about I pay rent?”
You need to tag Billie Eilish with her Lemmy username if you expect her to read this.

Say what now?
Starting in year 1172, the English kept trying to conquer Ireland. Invasions, colonizations, religious persecution, murder, starvation - whatever. Ireland is where the Brits practiced taking over the world.
Yes. Now read this quote again. It reads like you were saying that the Irish did teach the English how to murder and oppress.
Yes. I was confused also
That’s not what “learning from” means.
“Learning with”, probably
I could be wrong, and I’m sure I’ll be pilloried if so, but I don’t think the ‘stolen land’ part is really the point of the statement. To me it’s more about pointing out the difference between ‘undocumented’ and ‘illegal’. In the same vein as ‘unhoused’ vs ‘homeless’. Or the classic ‘tomato’ vs ‘tomato’. To me it seems to get lost in pedantic weeds and I prefer the Shakespeare observation of a rose by any other name.
