True, but I got two problems with that thought chain:

1. I don’t want any outdated dependencies within my network. There might be a critical bug in them and if I back up the images, I keep those bugs with me. That seems pretty silly.
2. If an application breaks because you updated dependencies, you either have to upgrade the application aswell or got some abandonware on your hands, in which case it’s probably time to find a new one.

I’m kinda confused by all of the people here doing that tbh.

The entire point of dockerfiles is to have them produce the same image over and over again. Meaning, I can take the dockerfile, spin it up on any machine on gods green earth and have it run there in the exact same state as anywhere else, minus eventual configs or files that need to be mounted.

Now, if I’m worried about an image disappearing from a remote registry, I just download the dockerfile and have it stored locally somewhere. But backuping the entire image seems seriously weird to me and kinda goes against of the spirit of docker.

Ironischerweise macht Hofer (Aldi) das nicht und deswegen ist das vermutlich auch der beliebteste Supermarkt in Österreich (zumindest hab ich so den Eindruck).

Weil die alle deine Daten wollen natürlich. Und das geht eben am Besten mit Accounts. Deswegen gibts das McDonalds Monopoly auch nur noch in der App und sonst gar nicht mehr - weil Daten. Mjam.

Deswegen ist meine Gehäuseaufforderung so designed, dass das schlagartig erkennbar ist, ob ich auf dem Produktivsystem herumfuhrwerke oder nicht.

Selbst trotz Manteltarif ist die Bezahlung bodenlos … Und dann kommt so’n Dulli wie ich daher und “arbeitet” gemütliche 24 Stunden pro Woche, 100% daheim am Rechner, für eine unverhältnismäßig hohe Bezahlung, nur weil meine Interessenlage zu einem Kompetenzprofil geführt hat, das die unsichtbare Faust des Marktes für äußerst profitabel und nutzbar hält.

Gut, das ist aber auch nicht das Problem. Die Pflege ist einfach nicht so profitabel wie die Entwicklung von irgendwelcher IT-Infrastruktur. Ich hab mal für ein Unternehmen gearbeitet, was mit Pflegeunternehmen gearbeitet hat und hab paar Abrechnungen gesehen - da wird finanziell teilweise schon extrem am Pfannenboden gekratzt, gerade, wenn keine Förderungen der Stadt zugeschossen werden. Klar gibt es die Ausreiser, die nach 6 Monaten nen neuen Ferrari leasen, aber das sind - in meiner Erfahrung - eher die Ausnahmen. Pfleger bringen einfach nicht die Kohle rein, die z.B. ausgebildete Informatiker o.ä. reinbringen. Das ist aber auch soweit alles okay.

Der Fehler ist, dass systemkritische Dinge wie Pflege oder das Gesundheitswesen überhaupt in privater Hand liegen und demnach Profit abwerfen müssen … das ist das Dämliche. Es geht hier um die Gesundheit von Menschen, da sollte kein privater Investor dahinterstehen und die Hand aufhalten. Sobald Profiterwartung dabei ist, wird automatisch an allen Ecken und Enden gespart. Dass die Gehälter gedrückt werden, ist ja nur eine Sache, es wird ja auch an Patienten gespart. Ich hab mal nen Artikel gelesen, dass z.B. das Krankenhausessen in fast allen Stichproben UNGESUND ist. Die Pflege, Krankenhäuser etc. MÜSSEN in staatlicher Hand und ohne Gewinn oder sogar Selbsterhaltungserwartung geführt werden. Genauso wie der ÖPNV, Bildung etc. In der drittgrößten Volkswirtschaft der Welt sollte dieses Geld eigentlich da sein.
