  • I think you’re mixing up “complex” with “complicated.” the first answer has no complexity (detail) and the second has a lot, but neither is complicated. You could make either sound more or less complex.

To actually compare them, the first should be “a shaving razor owned by Occam” and the second should be “a philosophical razor created by Occam.” Now they have the same amount of detail, and the second is far simpler to understand why someone would know about it.

  • Everyone is saying it is AI, and it might be, but I suspect not. A big tell for me is that the hand in the smoke seems pretty cohesive with the rest of him. I would expect some artifacting.

I do think it’s edited though. Everyone seems to have forgotten that you can just modify pictures without full AI generation.

  • I started playing Warframe again recently, after a many years break (something like five years). There’s an app that shows you the value of random rewards that open, so you know what to choose (WFInfo) I have not been able to get it to work. There’s also Linux alternatives, one of which I’ve been messing with trying to get it to run, and the other is much more limited.

Other than this, I have no recent issues. I’ve been full-time Linux for like three years now, so I’ve got everything sorted, and I usually can get anything running that I need, even when people say it doesn’t work.

Edit: for anyone who wants to help, I’m on Garuda (an Arch based distro). That probably won’t matter, but who knows.

  • The good thing is, this is a federated service, and many instances are defederated from them if you want that. Also, they haven’t added anything to the code that’s bad, and it can be forked if they do.

Meanwhile, piefed, while it seems nice, has issues too. The language they’re using, while it is easy, so allows for easier contribution, isn’t as fast/powerful. They also hardcoded a block list for things like meme communities, and IIRC “NoMoreMuskSpam”, and things like that. This can be removed by admins, but by default they’re blocked. It’s pretty stupid.
