Me and Marcus probably have very different lives, but that’s basically the same exact thing that happened to me.

It sucks to be used to train an AI, but I don’t want to use an Internet without some kind of human verification for some endpoints.

If you think it sucks trying to buy high demand stuff like concert tickets or new game consoles, imagine if every service was instantly at capacity. Captchas absolutely don’t stop all bots, but they are effective at slowing things down to a more human speed.

The worst thing is that Google has a near monopoly on this technology and they are starting to use it offensively to maintain their monopoly in other areas like what they are planning to do with requirements for play services for captchas so folks using custom roms get locked out of sites/apps. We gotta get developers to ditch the Google captcha services and use alternatives.

This is fucked. But aren’t “passenger vehicles” actually quite rare? I think most (environmental and safety) regulation is on passenger vehicles, which is why auto manufacturers try and sell so many trucks and SUVs since they don’t count as “passenger vehicles”. I could be wrong and this mandate is going to target all consumer vehicles.

Fuck all cars and our American car brained culture. But also fuck this legislation.

I very often have whole days in my week, probably 2 or 3 where I don’t eat any meat at all. I am definitely no vegetarian, I love pork in all it’s forms. But the whole idea of having to have meat with every meal is ridiculous. Beans, falafel, cheese, tofu, etc are all tasty ways to get protein and are usually quite cheap as well.

And yeah the only non open source software I use is games. It took a couple years to get off windows, but I’ve been Linux as my daily driver since 2015 or 2016.
